Our goal is to capture the real life moments of your family that make you unique and beautiful. La Vida Studios specializes in on-location, natural light photography and prefers to photograph you in an environment and atmosphere that reflects you and your family. Vida strives to keep the atmosphere relaxed allowing you to be yourself.
Sessions last between 1 and 2 hours. For newborn sessions be prepared for at least 2 hours. To book a session, book online by clicking the “Book-a-Session” link above and follow the prompts. The session fee is due at the time of the booking. The session fee includes our time for the session as well as post production of the photos from the session.
Prints are not included in the session fee.
We require 72 hours notice for cancellation/rescheduling. Session fees are non-refundable.
where do your sessions take place?
As on-location photographers we believe that people and children are more comfortable in environments that are familiar to them – their home, a park, somewhere they can be themselves. Our session fee includes photography commissions in the Austin area.
how much is a portrait session?
A one hour session is $150.
what do we get for the $150?
The session fee covers one hour of photography and a password-protected image gallery for easy viewing and reordering of prints.
how soon after the session do we get to see the images?
The online gallery will be ready for your viewing within two weeks of the session date. Typically within 2 business days a sneak peek will be available on the website.
what kind of products do you offer?
We offer everything from loose prints to framing, gallery wrapped canvases to albums.
what should we wear? what should my child wear?
We highly recommend that you don’t match. While we know that jeans and white shirts are common and all-white-on-the-beach is popular we would rather see you wearing outfits that reflect who YOU are. Avoid loud patterns and clashing colors; take a look in the mirror and make sure that your clothes aren’t upstaging you! Complimentary color palettes are more refreshing than everyone wearing matching attire and please bear in mind your child’s comfort before selecting an outfit. Stay away from low-cut necklines, bare arms, and super-trendy cuts or patterns.
